Open Yahoo Account Security
Go to login.yahoo.com/myc/security and sign in.
Generate an app password
Under Generate app password, select Other App and enter:
Claude EmailYahoo generates a 16-character app password. Copy it.Provide credentials to Claude

If you recently reset your Yahoo password, wait 24 hours before creating an app password. Yahoo enforces this delay for security reasons.

Ensure your account has security settings enabled. Legacy Yahoo accounts may need to be updated. Visit Yahoo Security settings and check that your account is in good standing.

Double-check that you’re using the app password, not your Yahoo account password. Yahoo app passwords are 16 characters with no dashes.
