Quickstart

Get your email connected to Claude AI. The whole process takes about 2 minutes.

What You Need

  • A Claude account (claude.ai)
  • An email account with one of the supported providers
  • An app-specific password from your email provider
You will never enter your main account password. All providers use app-specific passwords that can be revoked at any time.

Connect Your Email

Open the connector

Go to Claude and add the Connect My Email connector. Claude will redirect you to the authorization page:
https://email-connector.fly.dev/oauth/authorize
This is the secure setup form where you’ll enter your email credentials.

Select your provider

Choose your email provider from the dropdown. Each provider has specific setup instructions linked from the form.

Enter your credentials

Enter your email address and app-specific password. The form validates your connection in real-time — if the credentials work, you’ll be redirected back to Claude automatically.Your credentials are encrypted with AES-256 before storage. They are never logged or stored in plaintext.

Start using it

You’re connected. Try asking Claude:
What are my most recent unread emails?

Search for emails from my bank in the last week

Draft a reply to the last email from my manager

Connection Flow

You → Claude → OAuth redirect → email-connector setup form
  → Enter email + app password
  → Credentials validated via IMAP
  → Redirect back to Claude with auth token
  → Claude can now access your email

Troubleshooting

Make sure you’re using an app-specific password, not your main account password. See your provider’s setup guide for instructions.
Your email provider may be temporarily unreachable. Wait a minute and try again. If you’re using ProtonMail, make sure Bridge is running locally.
Connect My Email is available as an MCP connector. Make sure you’re on a Claude plan that supports connectors.
